June 3, 2021: How to Run for Public Office. Elected officials Michaela Tonking (Board member of the Incline Valley General Improvement District) and Lloyd Levine (former member of the California State Legislature) shared their experiences running for public office!

April 29, 2021: Science Policy Fellowships: Past, Present and Future. Derreck Carter-House, Danielle Delany, Agnes Varghese and Stephanie Piper, former and current invited fellows, shared their experiences, challenges and most rewarding moments of their fellowships in legislative offices. They provided crucial insights into how they became fellows and how this experiences have had an impact in their professional pathways.

March 27, 2021: Getting involved in Science Policy Workshop, UC Chemical Symposium: Workshop presented by Morgan Dundon & Kavya Samudrala, introducing UC scientists on how to engage and participate in policymaking processes.

February 18: Picture a Scientist: Reflection, Discussion and Action for Women in STEM. A reflection on the documentary "Picture a Scientist," and discussion of actionable steps to increase equity for women in STEM with guest moderators and UCR agents of change.

December 17, 2020: Science to Policy Reading Group Special Guest, where we hosted Dr. Julianna McCall, co-director of the California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine to discuss the California Surgeon General's report on Adverse Childhood Experiences.

November 12, 2020: Science to Policy Reading Group Special Guest, where we hosted Dr. Maxine Savitz! She was a member of President Obama's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (OPCAST) Ad-Hoc Pandemic Response Group and Vice President of the National Academy of Engineering.
